Objectives of the Center
a) To carry out activities to prevent segregation arising from cultural differences in the interaction of the multicultural society existing in the Çukurova region in social life,
b) To carry out the necessary cooperation and activities in order to provide applicable solutions in our country as a result of cooperation with academic institutions that have been working in the fields of intercultural communication, multiculturalism and its management and integration in social and cultural fields for half a century in many universities in Europe,
c) To organize activities in the field of interculturalism and multiculturalism for the realization of the internationalization goal of the University and to contribute to the activities carried out in this field,
d) To help young people prepare for life in the international arena and in multicultural societies with the vision of a world individual in parallel with the developments in communication and transportation technologies as a result of globalization, by contributing to the international cooperation of the University in the fields of internationalism and multiculturalism and contributing to the educational programs in this field to reach international standards,
e) To ensure that students and teaching staff have international experience through international cooperation,
f) To help foreign students and faculty members who come to the University and go abroad within the framework of exchange programs to adapt to the different cultural environments they are and will be in,
g) To contribute to increasing the recognition of the University in the world by participating in academic networks that conduct intercultural, interdisciplinary and international studies.
Areas of Activity of the Center
a) To encourage and support research and applications in line with the objectives of the Center and to ensure that public and private institutions benefit from them,
b) To encourage, encourage and support academicians and graduate students at the University to conduct studies in the field of culture and intercultural communication,
c) To cooperate with national and international, public or private institutions, organizations and non-governmental organizations that carry out activities in line with the purpose of the Center, to organize joint studies, to prepare application and research projects, to create resources for these projects, to implement projects and / or to follow up the implementation,
d) To cooperate with universities in Turkey and abroad that conduct innovative studies in methods and practices in the fields of intercultural communication, multicultural society and integration, mobility (migration), social sciences,
e) To carry out all kinds of scientific research and activities in the fields of intercultural difference and partnership, intercultural dialogue, relations and interaction between upper and lower cultures and to announce them to the public,
f) To establish a national and international electronic communication network in the field of intercultural communication, to prepare periodicals/non-periodicals of the Center, to support the adoption and dissemination of interdisciplinary, innovation and synergy creation culture at the University,
g) To carry out other activities in accordance with the purpose of the Center.
